Technical track BI.ZONE Mail Security

Deploying and Administering BI.ZONE Mail Security

Deploy the gateway, configure filtering policies, and protect email against phishing and targeted attacks

"Deploying and Administering BI.ZONE Mail Security" is a technical course for deployment engineers. On completion, BI.ZONE issues a BI.ZONE Certified Engineer (BCE) certificate. Over 40 hours, you'll learn to deploy BI.ZONE Mail Security in a standard configuration, configure filtering rules, and protect corporate email against phishing and targeted attacks.

The course is built on real-world cases: a compact theory section plus hands-on work in a prepared environment. All you need to start is a supported browser.

Who this course is for

  • Deployment engineers who roll out BI.ZONE Mail Security in a standard configuration for customers or inside their own company's infrastructure.
  • Mail system administrators and support engineers responsible for corporate email protection.
  • BI.ZONE partner specialists and customer teams preparing for product certification.

Course curriculum

  1. BI.ZONE Mail Security architecture. Product components, where the gateway sits in the mail flow, and infrastructure and network requirements.
  2. Deployment in a standard configuration. Gateway installation, initial setup, mail server integration, and mail flow routing.
  3. Configuring filtering rules. Anti-spam, anti-phishing, and antivirus scanning of attachments; policies per domain and per recipient group.
  4. Protection against phishing and corporate threats. Sender authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), link and attachment analysis, and countering address spoofing.
  5. Quarantine, diagnostics, and operations. Working with quarantine, triaging false positives, monitoring queues, and updating the product.

What you'll be able to do after the course

  • Deploy BI.ZONE Mail Security in a standard configuration.
  • Integrate the gateway with the mail server and design mail flow routing.
  • Configure filtering rules that defend against current cyberthreats.
  • Adapt message-handling rules to your organization's internal security policy.
  • Diagnose common operational problems and update the product.

Training lab

Hands-on practice runs on a personal cloud lab with BI.ZONE Mail Security already deployed: the email security gateway, a test mail server, and workstations for delivery checks. The lab is isolated, opens over a secure connection, and runs in the browser.

Some assignments are full-immersion: you install and configure the product on the lab yourself. That deepens your practical experience as an engineer.

BCE certification

The course prepares you for the BCE (Certified Engineer) competency check. Preparation runs in three stages: study the theory, complete the hands-on work, and pass the competency check as an exam with a trainer. BI.ZONE then issues an electronic certificate valid for one year, after which renewal is required. The BCE certificate confirms that an engineer is ready to deploy the product in a standard configuration and tune it to the organization's cybersecurity requirements.
